News: Acting on Comedy Workshop, by Ken Rea

Workshop participants concentrating on their text

Ken Rea, renowned theatre director, acting teacher, one of Europe’s top presentation skills trainers and a FOP member offered a one day workshop on acting to amateur actors on Paxos.

The all-day workshop with eleven participants, many from the Paxos Theater Group, including two children, took place in Greek and English on Saturday 29 October 2016 at the Multiple Use Hall of the School Center in Bogdanatika with Faye Lychnou acting as interpreter.

Ken Rea used the French comic play “Hotel Paradise” by George Feydau, which the Theater Group had performed last Easter, to demonstrate how a role should be studied and how each part can be interpreted in a variety of ways.

Ken guided the participants toward giving him the best they had. The participants were focused, receptive and open to experimentation. They all agreed that the workshop was a great success.

Ken Rea offered to repeat the workshop in October 2017
